Center for Chemical Technology of Catalonia
Marcel·lí Domingo, s/n
The Center for Chemical Technology of Catalonia (CTQC) is a non-profit organisation created in 2008.
Our mission is to contribute to the sustainability, competitiveness, innovation and technological progress of companies in the chemical industry in a global environment through services, RDi projects and transfer of innovative technologies in a framework of collaboration with other agents.
We have been working since 2008 in projects about process control, catalysis, biotechnology, environmental analysis, membranes, etc.

“Catalytic photoreduction of CO2 to hydrocarbon fuels”.
What we offer:
In 1979 Honda and co-workers demonstrated the photocalytic reduction of carbon dioxide to organic compounds, i.e., formic acid, methanol and methane, by suspending photosensitive semiconductor powders in water. Since that a lot of efforts were made for designing new photoeficient nanocatalysts and as result of that titania has been considered the most appropriate candidate for this task due to its powerful oxidation and superior charge transport properties.
The CTQC proposes to interested partners to participate in a project based on the photocalytic transformation of CO2. The CTQC is open to play several roles in this project, such us from the synthesis of photocatalysts based on transition metal nanoparticles or nanotubes to the subsequent catalytic transformation, with molecular catalysts, of the resulting products to fine chemicals. Therefore, we are very interested in creating a network focus on the goal of CO2 reduction using photochemical energy by catalyzed reaction ways.
What are we looking for:
The CTQC is looking for a company which is interested in joining us to work in this subject.
