Company Profile:
NANOMOL is a research group belonging to the TECNIO network. We form part of the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona, a research institute of CSIC located at UAB Research Park.

We offer our knowledge regarding the micro and nano structuring of molecular materials to improve the properties of products manufactured in diverse sectors, such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals and electronics, thereby contributing to increasing their added value.

Technology platform to produce particulate materials

What we offer:
Technology platform based on the use of dense gases or Compressed Fluids (CF) to structure in
a suitable, scalable and reproducible way active
molecules as follows:
-Solid micro and nanoparticles with high polymorphic purity.
-Micro and nano structured composite particles (active+polymer) .
-Advanced liposomes as carriers to encapsulate
active molecules.
This technology is an innovative approach of processing drugs and fine chemicals to improve their efficiency -bioavailability, selectivity, stability, toxicity- and enable their delivery by more effective and comfortable routes.
This technology provides manufacturating methods with less energetic consumption and use of environmentally benign solvents.

What are we looking for:
We look for industrial partners producing pharmaceutical, biomolecules or fine chemicals:
• Interested in testing and applying compressed fluid technologies to give desired properties to their products.

We are ready to provide them:
viability studies, product development stages, scale-up studies, semi-industrial batch production and final implementation at industrial scale.

New high performance, organic and flexible sensors for pressure, deformation and temperature

What we offer:
Researchers at NANOMOL have developed a new technology for pressure, deformation and temperature sensors, based on an organic, flexible and light conductive material which can be used for medical applications and also for manufacturing intelligent fabrics and electronic components. These sensor devices are based on an organic conductive nanocomposite film with a double-layered structure, comprising a conductive organic salt and an insulating polymer. With extreme sensitivity to pressure, strain, deformation and temperature, it can be used as a device that registers any change occurring in its immediate surroundings. For example, the electrical response to strain of these films results in gauge factors in the range 10-20, which is one order of magnitude higher than the ones from the most commonly used manganese-based electromechanical sensors

What are we looking for:
Industrial partners producing medical devices, electronic components and fabrics used in medical applications and smart textiles, that:

Technically cooperate into the design of sensor prototypes to be used for any of the possible applications.
Collaborate with the research institute in order to complete the development phase
Manufacture and commercialize the sensor under license agreement
